Views page
The Views page lists built-in, saved and agent-proposed views and agent columns, and lets people keep or delete what an agent proposed.
What it is
#/views lists every view on the Desk, grouped by where it came from: built-in (from the definition), saved by people, and proposed by an agent. It also lists agent-proposed columns.
Why it exists
Agents may propose a view or column but never change one. People need one place to see those proposals and keep or remove them, and to manage their own saved views.
How it works
- Saved views: “Saved Browse filters. Save a new one from any Browse list. Agent-made views stay labelled after you keep them.”
- Proposed views: “Proposed: shown in Browse once kept.” Keeping one makes it a normal view, still labelled as agent-made.
- Agent columns: “Shown in Browse. Deleting hides its values; the next run drops them.”
- Built-in views are read-only.
With no saved views: “No saved views yet.”
Since 0.5.0: views nest under their type in the sidebar, are shared, and only their creator can rename, reorder, delete or update them; others can Duplicate. Pin is per viewer. A “modified” marker shows when the filters differ from the saved view. See Views.
Worked example
Hiring Signals’ run proposes a view “Remote AU roles”. It appears under Proposed. The person keeps it, and it shows in Browse’s view menu with an agent label.
Common pitfalls
- Deleting an agent column and expecting the values gone at once. They are hidden now and dropped from records on the next run.
